The Chaos of Boys

Raising Boys

There’s a puddle on the bathroom floor, the plunger’s resting on the living room rug, and someone’s screaming ‘HELP ME’ from the kitchen.

Aaah, life with boys.

With three young sons, my house is in a perpetual state of disarray, there’s constant fighting and someone is always needing to use bathroom…especially when I’m in it.

And I wouldn’t trade any of it.

My boys have taught me how to embrace the chaos of life. And that even the shrillest of cries can inevitably lead to a beautiful moment. Because then I get the chance to comfort them, ease their pain and let them know they are loved.

Now if you’ll excuse me, someone’s nose needs a Lego removed.

  1. That last line really made me laugh out loud! This was a great little post! I love the line “And that even the shrillest of cries can inevitably lead to a beautiful moment. Because then I get the chance to comfort them, ease their pain and let them know they are loved…” Reading that made me smile. I’m the kind of person that needs to be surrounded by warm and fuzzy people, and my mom is one of those people. She’s always ready with open arms for me. Like I said before, great post!
